Contrast geometry. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 58 The apartment for a family with two children is decorated in modern style with art deco elements. There is a lot of free space; accurate geometrical forms adjoin to smooth lines, circles and semicircles; at the heart of a coloristic composition there are contrast dark and light colours, but simple graphic is added with bright red various tones. Expensive modern materials give luxurious look to the interior. Romantic intrigue . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 66 In this interior both decor and architecture are equally important. Comfort of the Soviet epoch . . . . . . . . . . 74 Profession plays a great role in Dmitry Haustov, TV presenter’s life — it can be easily seen by plasma screens mounted in each room of his apartment. National traditions . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 80 Natalia Shevtsova has been running her own design bureau for ten years already. The main problem Natalia sees in the effect of absolute purity in the interior where no designer’s efforts can be seen but only the owner’s personality. Also she admirers national traditional motives, whether it is a Russian manor or a log hut. Mood palette . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 98 To make a four room apartment of a there room one was the main task of the designer. A new home must have separate bedrooms, kitchen and living-room. The solution for that difficult problem was to make a kitchen in a corridor zone, arranging a room space for the second nursery. The planning idea of that apartment merged a guest zone with a kitchen, separating it with a decorative partition with the built-in aquarium. The main idea of the project is to allocate a room and a workplace to everyone of a family. The combination of bright colours and straight lines and forms allowed to design the interior in pure modern style, which is so trendy today. Cozy loft . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 104 The customer wished a bedroom and a spacious nursery for the boy and the girl in the 78,4 sq. m two-room apartment. The living room was divided into two zones — a sleeping and a guest ones. Classics balance . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 106 Composition’s integrity, clearness and steadiness are the main principles which became the main elements of that interior where proportionality and scale brought harmony of the whole and the private into the character of that apartment. Youth interior . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 108 The 54,2 sq. m apartment was initially planned as oneroom. Authors of the project met a problem — to make the modern «advanced» living space for a young person — a student. The project’s must-have was a separate sleeping zone. Interior landscape . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .112 Modular sofas or mobile composition including several identical models, able to welcome a lot of visitors, is a trendy alternative to the traditional group of a sofa and armchairs. Thanks to modules you may not only change a configuration of sofas, but also easily reconstruct «interior landscape». Autumn at your feet. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .118 A well-known designer Pascal Mourgue called a carpet «a symbol of our ideas on a home cosiness». Well, cool autumn is a fine time for decor change. You may choose the one with the magnificent warm carpet which was chosen in conformable season colour scale.
