Красивые квартиры №81 4 Contents Youth eclecticism. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 18 Keeping the apartment’s space as much free as possible was one of the main tasks while creating this eclectic youth interior. Any planning complexities were overcome not only by means of the architect’s smart approach, but also by means of design — a considerable quantity of smooth surfaces and lines. Travel to Provence . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 26 Even the standard apartment in the multi-storey panel house can be decorated in the way where no one will recognize the initial project in the interior. The French style featuring some Provence elements allowed creating an image of a spacious country house at the Mediterranean sea coast. Blue tones and sated flower decor prevail in its design, most of the furniture has a thin metal base a la forging. Moving horizons . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 34 The sculpturesque interior design came from the owner’s choice for a modern style. Highlighting the sculptural compositions, the lighting system makes them even more expressive. The rooms are visually extended, being reflected in glossy furniture surfaces; and in a spacious loggia-and-rotunda the designer managed to arrange a small winter garden with an additional rest-and-welcoming zone. Joyful colors to cheers you up . . . . . . . . 42 The apartment’s owner — a young woman, full of vital and creative energy — wished to have a cozy, light, warm residence for a joyful mood. As a result, the colour acts the leading role here, so the atmosphere features vivacity and cheerfulness. Seven faces of the apartment . . . . . . . . . 48 The space of a three-room apartment with a big hall is reconstructed according to the requirements of a family with two children — a teenage boy and a pre-teen girl. As a result, the hall, the living-room and the kitchen were merged, a small bedroom was designed for the parents, and every kid got his own room decorated according to his age and interests. The designer managed to create a stylistically unified space, a comfortable and functional one, considering the interests of each member of the family. Colour and the City . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 56 This modern, convenient and functional interior reflects the concept of «city»-styled apartment where the house coziness is organically united with the high tech elements. Contrasts of simple geometrical forms and lines, combinations of richly textured finishes and smart color palette create festive and joyful mood. Metropolitan symphony . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 64 The dark tones’ elegance leads in eclectic design of the small apartment located in one of the Stalin epoquestyled houses in Moscow. Eaves and ceilings, an oak parquet and an impressing collection of «daguerreotypes» — black-and-white photos with the panoramas of old Moscow — remind of connection to the past. House cosiness for rent. . . . . . . . . . . . . . 70 Creation of an interior in the apartment for lease is some kind of a puzzle to be solved by the designer. A priori nobody knows a future inhabitant that is why there’s no idea about the apartment’s future look. In that case it’s more likely the interior which «looks for» the owner itself, rather the opposite. After all, it very much depends on the created atmosphere and environment, who exactly will choose the offered apartment. Moscow palazzo . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 76 Sonya Zolotaya is a very positive host of the «Hot ten» program («Russia» TV-channel), she is natural blonde loving sunny hot Italy. That’s why everything in her apartment’s interior reminds of this country. And, though the view from the windows is industrial, — even though curtained, the real Mediterranean look is created. Dreams of minimalism. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 84 Being architect and designer, Tatyana Mironova considers herself as the adherent of an accurate minimalism with straight lines, items with the history or, probably, even the scandalous ones. But the bureaus’ interiors she created are completely different — from minimalist to classical. Functional today . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 94 The 111,6 sq. m modern-styled apartment in the Moscow suburbs is for a family of three. The project’s main task is to get a light, clear, airy, but at the same time not plain interior of the future. All the apartment’s main rooms and spaces feature red colour. Harmony and serenity . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 96 In that apartment the author was to create a small relaxing tranquil islet where time disappears. That was successfully done thanks to a harmonious combination of colour and form. Glass twist . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 98 The project is based on a difficult lay-out and intricatelyshaped form of the walls. That also happened to be a reference point: the author wanted to «curl» original nonconventional forms and to provide the interior with some definite personality and distinctiveness. The glass columns, curled around their axis, and the glass partitions made of triplex are worth to be especially mentioned. Portrait of family happiness. . . . . . . . . . 100 Designing their future residence, the owners gave a leading role to comfort and coziness for each of the family members. The project’s author successfully managed to that task, having created the harmonious family interior featuring noble simplicity and calmness. Sunny Provence . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 102 The young couple with two children decided to settle in the old house. Having faced some difficulties while coordinating the re-planning, the customers preferred to keep the initial rooms’ planning. Small, but really cozy kitchen decorated by the Provencal style’s integral attributes, became the apartment’s highlight. Semicircular panorama . . . . . . . . . . . . . 104 The free lay-out apartment always gives to the architect many additional capabilities to design the non-standard planning. The given object is also remarkable for its semicircular panoramic windows. The semicircular wall of a living room is «cut» by stained-glass windows. Smooth round ceilings’ shapes unite a hall and a corridor. Respectable classics. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 106 The 125,0 sq. m spacious apartment is situated in a picturesque area of Moscow (near to Park Pobedy). Its interiors are designed in respectable classical style. The colour scale features cream-and-brown with some drops of gold. In walls decoration two kinds of plaster are used. Quiet charm. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 108 The reconstruction of the Provencal atmosphere in the ordinary house, where everything so is simple and at the same time harmonious, became the project’s main idea. Decorative plaster, raw surfaces and bricklaying was used in the decoration. The main interior colours are soft, as if faded at the sunlight. Cosy combination . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .110 The 144,0 sq. m apartment differs with the enviable height of ceilings (3,3 m) and a nice view to a picturesque area. The house location caused the apartment zoning. The owner’s rooms with windows to the court yard are set in the left part of the apartment. The living room and the kitchen zones are merged. Standing nearby a window, the folding table welcomes all the members of the big family.
