Therefore the author of the project based the design on contrasts of the sated and quiet tones: their interaction gave a certain dynamism to the interior. Games with space. . . . . . . . . . . . . . 30 Successful architectural ideas allowed to find additional place for storage, giving more of free space in the rooms at the same time. Compositions’ finality is given by bright strokes, including mosaic inserts. The lighting system acts one of the main roles in creation of the image, highlighting favourable foreshortenings and focusing attention on abundance of shades. Lightness in colour . . . . . . . . . . . . . 38 A chance to make spacious rooms, to fill them with air and light appeared not only due to merging of two next apartments. In the designer’s arsenal there was really a spectrum of textures; using these textures, the designer managed to highlight the space volume and to expand it visually. For the interior had clearly seen individual character, a considerable quantity of custom-made furniture was used in the interior design. Expressive plastic of space. . . . . . . 48 The basic accent here is made on an expressive plastic of space. Dynamics is set by sophisticated architectural compositions, and the sensation of simplicity appears due to open inter-room apertures and merging of functional zones. In order to create a modern design with constructivism elements, a way of a textures’ combination is used. Colour of premium class . . . . . . . . . 56 The interior’s basic concept is the man’s smart logic of functional room zoning, colour palette, architectural-and-plastic forms, and also various technical items. Presence of a considerable quantity of black glossy surfaces and alternating dark and light strips is caused by the customer’s preferences. As a whole, interior, technical appliances and accessories have a real premium class feeling. Biedermeier’s harmony and cosiness . . . . . . . . . . 64 In general, that space’s design is modern and functional, and melancholic sentimentality of antique furniture and other Biedermeier’s thought-over bagatelles introduces a special sensual simplicity and unique colour palette. By means of creative potential and art the designer creates good taste and cosiness. Rhythm of sea wave . . . . . . . . . . . . 72 A possibility to visually increase a small space appears due to merging of several rooms and balconies, and also use of the bleached shades in walls’ and ceilings’ decor. In design some ideas lead — use of modern Italian interiors’ features, a marine theme, and also a bit of a country style. In general, the interior has a constructive orientation — it is quiet and graphical. At the same time the space has difficult volumes and forms, due to that it was possible to avoid an ordinary lay-out with the narrow and long corridors. Picturesque Venice, colourful Verona, which the customers are so fond of, became inspirers for this project.
