Красивые квартиры №74 4 Contents Perspective view . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 16 This detailed interior is acting around the semicircle kitchen wall. The central composition opens a perspective view to the apartment and merges rooms. Dissociation into elements along with use of smooth surfaces makes the space visually larger. Duplicating each other, fragments promote the apartment image integrity. Quiet minimalism. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 24 Possibility to design that apartment space with bearing inter-room walls was based on use of small architectural forms, decorative design elements and selection of qualitative furniture. The colour palette contains sated and deep tones: the red textiles are combined with wenge and sandstone plaster — with bright colour of wooden parquet. Life in bright colours . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 32 This apartment is for a family with a baby. Owners — young modern people — choose the modern styled design project: a little of furniture, a lot of free space and fresh cheerful colours. According to customers’ desire the re-planning was done: designer extended an entrance hall, smoothed angle forms, generated an open space in a public zone. In black and white . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 42 Customers — young men with modern tastes — wished to have a minimalism styled apartment with accurate geometrical forms and graphic colour scale. The final apartment image turned out to be bright and laconic. The architecture is based on square shapes with a smooth bend of a corridor. At the heart of the colour palette there is a combination of black and white. Space metamorphoses . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 48 Interior decoration equates this town-house apartment to the best modernist styled and art deco private residences. Neogothic and neobaroque features are harmoniously twisted into the modernist style. Fancifully bent decor lines pass through all the room spaces. The apartment appears to be absolutely different in every point. One feels the diversity and multiplicity sensation with each step. But, anyway, despite that interior saturation, it is comfortable and — the main thing — it is interesting to live here. With English accent. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 58 The attention to details is especially important, designing small apartments. In this case to design a small apartment in the historical centre of Moscow, the modest English style was chosen. One of British interiors’ characteristic features is a careful image portrayal, up to the smallest strokes. That elegant direction allowed to give personality to every room. Modern prospects . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 66 Sergey Amoralov, the participant of the popular group «Otpetye moshenniki», in his personal life is rather thorough man. He designed his house in his native city of St.-Petersburg, moved to Moscow and got an apartment there too. However, he is going to change his present apartment to more spacious and comfortable one (but in the same Moscow district), as he recently married and he is going to get heirs. Impressing pictures . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 74 In the home of Vladimir Klavikho-Telepnev, a recognized classicist of the Russian photo art, walls are decorated with his works. For example, some of them are taken from his famous «Stalin empire style» series, where, being presented rather unusually, well-known Moscow skyscrapers impressed the well-known director Peter Greenway much. Education by style . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 82 Galina Mikulik is the designer by birth. Her father and grandfather were engaged in architecture and design. She does not keep with absence of logic and uniform approach in interior decoration, when in a city apartment she meets a furniture store instead of home with personality. Live geometry . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 94 The 130 sq.m apartment is located in the northern part of Moscow and has panoramic windows with the magnificent view to the Leningrad park. Customers — a young creative couple — wished to have a modern interior, with interesting decor elements and walls configuration. Light as principle . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 96 The interior turned out to be very harmonious and comfortable. Glossy floor and ceiling surfaces strengthen a general impression, reflecting walls surface and visually increasing room space. Light and decorative wall covering also plays the important role, creating patches of light and shades. New eclecticism. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 98 The project’s main task is creation of the stylish, modern, functionally filled, but small space for comfortable residing of a young couple. The interior turned out to be courageous and unconventional enough, with some note of theatricality. The charm itself. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 Colour scale of this project is sienna shades’ prevalence — from pastel-and-cream to sand-and-orange (an exception is the owners’ bedroom in greyand-dark blue tones). Interior colour combination plays one of the leading parts here. Bright and juicy shades peacefully meet soften ones. Modern minimalism . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 102 The interior was based exclusively on the future proprietress’s wishes — she is a young girl. Design style can be characterized as modern, with some minimalism features. The apartment architecture shows many semicircular external walls, and that fact has led to the decision to design interior’s main zones in the semicircle form. City oasis. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 104 The 109 sq. m apartment was initially of a “corridor” type. The spacious light studio turned out as a result of re-planning. Interiors features warm solar tones, and the oasis in the apartment centre makes it unforgettably unique. With plans for the future . . . . . . . . . . . . 106 The apartment is designed for the young family, loving to invite many guests, therefore the basic requirement was a creation of a spacious hall, a living room and a kitchen, and also several capacious wardrobes. Laconicism and cosiness . . . . . . . . . . . 108 Being in the thick of fashionable events and actions, it is always good to have a possibility of solitude and relaxation in laconic and cosy space. The apartment for the young man — the student, appreciating beauty of things and modern lines, is designed exactly for the above-mentioned purposes.
