Desperately seeking for new forms . . . . . . . . . . . . . 78 Mr. Ulrich Brunner, the head of German company Brunner, is engaged not only in manufacturing matters, but also actively co-operates with Germany’s leading architectural high schools. One of the most interesting projects, which was organized with the assistance of Rosenheim University’s Interior design faculty, started in October, 2006. The project consisted in consideration of fireboxes’ design by an example of Brunner production. As a result students created 20 models of the fireplaces, amazing with bold ideas and practical solutions. More than 22 000 visitors came to the fair within these days. The traditional Stove-makers Show took place within the frames of the exhibition. For four days the visitors were watching at a process of construction of various stoves by stove-making masters from Russia and Germany. Its channel is constantly exposed to a firebox gases’ heat, chemically active combustion products, environment’s low temperatures and also a condensate, appearing in some certain conditions. It would be surprising, if the chimney system doesn’t need repair works, service maintenance or care works for all its operation period. After all, not only safety of the house, but also the owners’ health and safety depends on its correct work. Firstly it is the future owner’s wish to get it, it is enough money for such an expensive purchase. Then one should find a workshop which will realize the idea. The next step is to have patience, as designing and fireplace manufacturing will last much more than one month. And one more thing — one should be ready to participate in creative process: it will be necessary to confirm sketches, colour tests, or even probably to visit the workshop time and time again. In case a diesel fuel becomes an uncontested variant, you should get a liquid-fuel boiler. If something may change in the future, you’d better choose a combined (multifuel or two-fuel) boiler type. Aesthetics of the device for water heating is not only one problem which should be solved by the owner.
