Красивые квартиры №100 36 Contents Thin strings of harmony 56 Magnificent views of the Black sea from the Sochi apartment has become the design’s starting point. The idea is not supposed to compete with nature, but focuses on its ever-changing beauty. Everything in this apartment’s environment supports relaxation atmosphere with amazing views to the sea water. The role of this interior’s simple geometric shapes is impressively noted by brief monochromatic decoration. Style, prompted by nature 64 To bring home city to nature, to create an organic, natural habitat, referring to the principles of bioarchitecture was the authors’s task while creating that project. The main design idea was an imitation of the living nature — a stylized plant and other biological forms, without geometry of straight lines and angles. Sea view 72 A 113.0 m2 duplex apartment in Anapa is a good example of modern design — stylish, laconic, emphasized by interesting details. Due to the unusual geometry of the living space, decoration in light tones and original lighting effects the interior is associated with an expensive trans-Atlantic liner, which has everything for a comfortable voyage. Simple lines and shapes, play of light and shadow, small inclusions of exotic materials and textures create a feeling of lightness and freedom — no doubt the interior will remain attractive for a long time. Classics of the Stalin era 80 The designer’s combination of light classics and contemporary style was chosen for two-level apartment in a grand Stalin-era house. The environmental grandeur is formed with the moldings, exquisite Italian lighting fixtures and carved wood. The interior highlight is a luxurious oak staircase with a carved handrail. On the bright side 72 The 118.3 sq. m 4-room apartment interior is designed for a family of four — a married couple and two school-age children. The owners are very interesting, energetic people, traveling admirers, so the living space design follows their mood and lifestyle — its’colorful, extraordinary, with impressive contrasts of textures and materials, multicolored decorative lighting and unexpected dynamic zones. The comfort territory 96 The apartment is designed for a family of young people with contemporary tastes, so it has undergone significant redevelopment. Most of the walls were demolished: as a result, the space volume was increased adding light and air. In accordance with the customer requirements noble cold light colors were selected for the interior color scheme. In most cases a variety of ceiling lights and floor lamps and sconces was used instead of traditional chandeliers. Sunny mood 104 A 123.7 sq. m open plan apartment is designed for the couple with two preschool-age sons. The customers wanted their interior to become convenient and safe without the high thresholds and with minimum of angles. So when the project authors proposed the design idea based on a circle, the owners supported it at once. The owners also gave the designers a free hand in choosing the color scheme. As a result, the authors have created a vivid and cheerful interior. Comfortable elegance 112 The idea to design that apartment in art deco style is implemented to meet the today’s requirements such as modern equipment, comfort and coziness. Elegant fine stucco decoration, bright contrasting combinations, gorgeous chandeliers made of silk and crystal, vintage postcards in a carved baguette — all that fills the interior with the last century atmosphere; the key feature is a sense of lightness and transparency. Moscow Mediterranean 118 Popular singer Soso Pavliashvili with his wife Irina have recently celebrated their new home. The couple was unanimous in choosing a design style — a cozy atmosphere should merge the southern Mediterranean classics with aged surfaces, while not avoiding an elegance. Red emphasis 144 A 130 sq. m apartment is situated in parkland on the Moscow South-West. The customers wished to have a modern and functional interior with obligatory red accents. Practical luxury 146 The 67.3 sq. m apartment is located in one of the Moscow’s elite districts. The project was designed to solve the seemingly impossible mission — to turn a two-room apartment into a three-room one. This idea has very organically highlighted a rather comfortable lay-out, where the second bedroom (which was actually very necessary for the owners) can easily be transformed into a relaxation zone. Pearl poetry 148 The apartment owners’ main wish was to get away from the standard straight-line layout and common combinations of beige and chocolate. The interior was conceived as an amazing color combination of pearl, gray and lavender tones. Monochrome interior is diluted with inclusions of lilac-andviolet shades (somewhere it’s light, somewhere — textiles). Multipurpose classics 50 Customers wished the designer to create a lightweight classic interior with a modern edge, with the most open and bright spaces, different lighting scenarios, free and functional layout. Eclectic solutions 152 This relatively large apartment is designed in rather sophisticated style which merges the features of Art Deco together with Neoclassical and high tech ones. Timeless classics 160 The apartment is located in a renovated pre-revolutionary house in central Moscow. So the authors decided to create an interior, blending with the historic surroundings. A large number of windows, framed by elegant curtains, parquet, noble colors — everything here reminds old Moscow mansions. Here, love lives 162 With a well-chosen combination of natural materials, color and style ideas the project author succeded to create a surprisingly warm atmosphere of family coziness in the middle of a huge metropolis for a young couple just starting their life together.
