This interior’s «cooking» secret was discovered by architects — «chiefs» Titov brothers. On the one hand, the recipe is simple enough, and from the other side, it pleases with its eccentric originality. Today’s lifestyle contrasts . . . . . . . . . . . 28 The lay-out design has appeared to be a difficult and at the same time the most interesting stage in the project development. That apartment in the form of a circle segment featured only three windows, but the owners were in need for a number of the premises with natural light. A winter garden arranged closer to the windows is equipped with the matte glass doors adjacent to the main rooms. A number of built-in false ceiling lamps of various sizes together with numerous wall and hidden light sources form a charming atmosphere. Light mood. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 34 This 85 sq. m two-room Moscow apartment is a fine sample of modern design, where comfort, functionality and ergonomics are successfully combined with personal author’s style. Being spacious and light, it creates perfect conditions for rest and relaxation after the hard working day. Its interior’s color scale features contrast solutions. Caramel classics . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 42 Creating this interior the architects succeeded to develop a definitely hard project — they should have turn three apartments into one. The problem became more complicated due to the fact that the future interior should meet requirements of three family generations: grandmother, parents and their two-year daughter. The space is designed in pastel tones with a dominating light-beige scale: baked milk, honey and caramel colours. The designer had developed this project for his own family, so that he succeeded to embody almost all his creative ideas even the smallest ones. A selection of soft pastel shades provides a romantic mood of an English province. Multileveled comfort . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 58 Elena Chekalova, Leonid Parfyonov’s wife, is a journalist, a professional cooking specialist, a gastronomic columnist in a number of popular editions and also a host of the First TV-channel’s «Schastye yest!/Happy eating!» show. It is surprising, how she succeeds to run all her activities, including creative arrangement of their big family home where each square meter is really original. The law of personal presence . . . . . . . . 66 Alexey Pushkov is a host of the «TV Center» channel’s «Postskriptum» show, a MGIMO professor, a director of Institute of actual international problems of Diplomatic academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the constant expert of the Davos Forum, a member of the Council under human rights and development of a civil society under the President of the Russian Federation. He lives in a cozy apartment, and his home interior reflects motives of travel, hobbies and his way of life. Dual decor . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 74 Olga Chayka, the creative workshop «Architip»’s chief, works together with Vyacheslav Kirillov, her business partner in implementing their various creative ideas, an architect of the firm «Line» and also the director of furniture salons «Mr. Doors». In comfortable atmosphere . . . . . . . . . . 88 While designing the interior of a 110,1 sq. m apartment for a young married couple with two children (a boy and a girl), the designer dealt with the serious issue — making a four-room apartment out of a three-room one, so that each child could have his/her own room, simulatneously shaping up a living-room area and a kitchen/dining-room. Flow of space . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 90 In this project the lay-out is constructed by an open space principle. A living room smoothly «flows» into a hall; an ornament «runs» from a hall into a kitchen, while a ceiling’s smooth lines echo a floor directions. Eclectic minimalism . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 92 The owner wanted to see an interior designed in the latest fashion trends and simultaneously looking like a glass and metal home featuring many office space elements. Family nest under a skyscraper roof. . . 94 This apartment project is created for a family with two adult children. The designer aimed to shape up a common single zone for children and — later on — for grandchildren by merging an existing nursery and a part of a welcome zone/hall. Symphony with the orchestra . . . . . . . . 96 This apartment’s owners are a married couple with the adult daughter. Emotional, talented people, they love the music and live bright interesting life; that’s why their apartment’s interior features some interesting design finds and innovations. In these rooms there are a lot of cozy pleasant corners, providing a festive mood and associations with the world of art. Life geometry. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 98 The130 sq. m apartment is located in a nice estate in the west of Moscow. The space with panoramic windows is light enough, with the magnificent view to the park. Customers wanted to get a modern, functional and cozy home. The authors of the project worked with forms and textures of wall and floor coverings. The rooms feature a considerable quantity of the sophisticatedly shaped built-in cardboard constructions. The design’s rectilinear geometry is emphasized by numerous neon and dot lightings. Elegant lines . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 100 Creating this interior design, the project author had to intervene in the original architectural plan, for example, to change an initial lay-out of the apartment, so that a result appeared to be a non-standard space of the living room with two big window apertures. Music accompaniment. . . . . . . . . . . . . 102 The owners of this apartment are people with a very creative nature. They wanted to see the refined and stylish interior and at the same time they dreamt of placing there a few things dear to a heart and nice to look at, simultaneously keeping sensation of air and space. The living room’s undoubted pride is a luxury snow-white grand piano. Its noble look is emphasized with a fireplace creating a sensation of a real musical salon.
