Since an apartment had many structural partitions one of designer’s missions was to visually widen space. To reach that goal the wall mirror plates reflecting light and changing room’s shapes were used in the front zone. Decorative niches and austere mouldings convey «sculptureness» to surfaces making them more complex. Classics of vast spaces. . . . . . . . . . . . . 28 The original author’s sketches helped arrange a spacious apartment’s interior — some pieces of furniture, flooring and ceiling paintings were created based on those sketches. The space of the pass-through zone was divided by stained-glass window. Forming an unusual cascade they visually stop the overstretched corridor. A light creme-colored furniture prevails in rooms; the contrast is defined by outstanding dark wood and textile. In the nick of time . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 84 March 23-26, 2011 the «Crocus Expo» International Exhibition Center witnessed the «Beautiful Houses/WEG» media and exhibition holding’s next exhibiting session having united four trademark international projects, namely «Fireplaces Salon», «AQUA SALON: Wellness & SPA. Pool and Sauna», «Wooden House» and «House and Garden. Moscow Garden Show». This combination proved convenient both for the specialists (who came to participate in a communication and business forum) and for the visitors.
