A bird of paradise in its golden cage is a mainline; spontaneously emerged, it has provided the interior with bright and vibrant colors, lots of gold and proper attention to details. The project’s mainline to unify all the room spaces is a garden, blooming under the blue sky. She is really constantly on tour, so it’s clear why she invited us to meet her in the apartment where she spent her childhood years and where her mother, a famous skater Elena Maslennikova, lives now with Valeriya’s sister Anastasia. Like no other she knows what is coming back home after a long absence and physically hard work. The project authors faced a difficult task: to design a number of functional zones in this floor area. The interior style is modern enough; the whole place is very unified. The layout is based on correct forms and simple volumes, allowing create a living space, where comfort, functionality and ergonomics are merged with design elements. The owners identified their priority as a comfortable family life with no noisy parties. This was the main designer’s task in the layout development process. The architect succeeded to create a bedroom, a children’s room, a living room with a kitchen, a cloakroom, a bathroom and a guest bathroom. The interior style was a compromise between the loft style brutality and the modern classic’s comfort. While developing the project, the main task was to visually expand the space of 80 sq. m to comfortably accommodate a family of four.
