Красивые квартиры №90 4 Contents Treasure island . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 22 The 134 sq.m apartment’s interior comprises lots of interesting designer finds and unconventional solutions. The united free planning of a vast space with functional zones, one smoothly flowing into another; a white grand piano in the living-room being used as a mini-cabinet; a kitchen furniture system hanging in the air to defy the gravity; a bathroom looking like a boat cabin — they all make the house so unique. Setting-off game . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 30 Contrasting color schemes allowed setting off various finishing and decor materials while thoroughly detailed interior started looking to many advantages. A rather interesting approach was shown using the parquet flooring not only in its traditional way but also on the ceiling; wood borders marble inserts, tiles and plasterboard. As a result of re-planning the apartment is holding enough space both for living and storaging now. Elegance of classic approach . . . . . . . . 38 The decision to choose the way of classics for the apartment has head to the interior’s lush decoration along with a rather reserved color palette. Shades of pastel are elegantly set off with gold with monochrome wall and ceiling paintings adding sophistication to the finishing. Oceans of the white transmit weightlessness and stress the sheer beauty of the chiaroscuro game. And the interior uses Italian-made furniture. Advantages of circular motion. . . . . . . . 46 Since one of the main requests to the design was space’s maximal openness, it was decided to get rid of the partitions between the adjacent rooms. Circular motion in the apartment was set by suspended ceilings and furniture arrangement. That made the rigid shapes of space softer and incorporated the black furniture the owners had picked before the project start into the interior. Shapes and colors interaction became the main idea of decoration. Mediterranean sun . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 54 A romantic, easily recognized image of a Mediterranean house was created within the urban flat interiors with a help of vivid florally ornamented stained-glass windows, elegant smithery and partial stone coating of walls. A theme, directly linked to abundance of sun, unwinds in a complex, outstretched space with only a few windows. Natural materials finishing creates warmth and coziness. Black on white . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 70 The more air is in the apartment the better. Interior-wise it’s synonymous to the white. Masses of white may freshen up the room but may deprive it of its form as well — so working with this color requires special skills. It’s important to enlarge but not to depersonalize space. To walk this thin live white is blended with hints of silver or black. It makes the interior texture traced and the air shapes up. Urban fusion . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 78 Enormous constructions and renovations are only in the mid-term plans of Julia Kovalchuk, a singer, a dancer and a celebrity. But she is already on the alert and ready with her clear vision of the future house interior and furniture stores window-shopping. Coziness with the park view . . . . . . . . . 84 It’s extremely hard to find a Moscow courtyard with a quiet duck & swan pond welcoming the picnic public during warm seasons and hosting skaters throughout wintertime. Elena Medovnikova, a presenter of the «TV Center» channel’s «Events» information program, feels so lucky. Ten years ago she and her husband purchased an apartment in the new housing development that boasts such a yard. Minimalism as basis of art. . . . . . . . . . . 92 One of the «NefaResearch» archtechtural studio’s managers (who graduated from Stroganov’s university with Interior Design specialization and who realized more than thirty projects in housing and social construction) Boris Voskoboynikov is fearless in his belief that the oversaturated decor is long gone. That is why all of his works are made in one breath of the freedom-aspiring 21st century. New Times Classics . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 106 The owners requested the interior to be airy and light combining classical elements and the contemporary approach. Since the apartment sits on the top level it was possible to install the fireplace fixing the chimney along the outside wall of the building. Space Connection . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 108 An apartment located in the «AirBus» housing development immediately sparks two associations, one of them being a fantastic flight and the other is the surprising lightness. It comes from the easy and relaxed way the most sophisticated and unobtrusive styles of elegant hi-tech, luxury art-deco and strict noble minimalism the apartment are blended in this apartment. Dynamic and style. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .110 The 173,8 sq.m apartment’s interior has a modern twist. It reflects character and lifestyle of a modern family. The interior is spacious to the max, the living and the dining rooms designed as the open space. The dynamism is set by the direction of the ceiling and floor lines, swooshing LED niches and the texture of massive parquet flooring. Decorative arrangement . . . . . . . . . . . 122 The design’s accent was made on decor, original lighting. Also the shapes of the ceilings and their decorative force were very significant. The initial plan was modified slightly but importantly — the hall holds a deep wardrobe. Atmosphere of peacefulness. . . . . . . . .114 When creating this interior the main tasks were lightness and functionality. The owners of the modest 61 sq.m apartment wanted to create a warm and cozy family cove but keeping maximum of the free space. The apartment’s color range was chosen in light keys that visually widen the space while warm hues of walls combined with contrasting details create a cozy laidback and relaxed atmosphere. Romance and chic. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .116 The black-and-white colors and pseudo-vintage decor elements helped create the French style interior. In this project an architect was meant to cater to the taste of a successful young lady. Orange geometry . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .118 The customers were served an orange-coffee dessert — a vivid and remarkable ensemble with beautiful arrangement, happy mood, freshness and spaciousness. They couldn’t resist, of course. Orange is a symbol of comfort, robust and cheer and blended with brown it creates a feeling of warmth and coziness in the interior. Styles intersection . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 120 Designers faced the task of creating a modern personalized interior with elements of various styles. The project baseline was functionality, simplicity, laconism and deliberate turndown of non-functional elements. The general logical picture is accompanied with precise aspect ratio, shapes, color and skillfully performed details. Softness of perception. . . . . . . . . . . . . 122 Clients frowned at cold surfaces and rigid forms; therefore it was decided to make the layout in the rounded lines, to add softness in finishing (wood, textile, veneer), to play with color and use half-classic elements (lighting, furniture elements etc) in some places. Ode to functionality . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 124 Functionality and coziness were the key parameters to create a harmonious interior for the family of two living in this 91,7 sq.m apartment. Shot of vanguard . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 126 At the first meeting the customer expressed his intention to come back to the warm and cozy home. To much surprise further discussions revealed his interest to the vanguard art. Respectable decor . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 128 The interior creation was restricted by the chief walls — that cannot be dismantled — and rather low ceilings. However the chamber and cozy interior — with the textures of bleached wood but without active decorative accents — was successfully created.
