Красивые квартиры №83 4 Contents Walking circle-wise . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .20 One of the main owner’s wishes was to merge some of the rooms. The studio space includes a living-room, a kitchen and a small dining-room. The additional design problem was to use round lines and shapes. This solution allowed a little smoothing of the apartment’s lay-out with its big prominent angle, making the planning more centered and visually completed, providing a real roundabout. All the levels of elegance . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .26 This modern interior’s elegant lines are added with stunning Oriental and African motives, private decorative collections and avant-garde pictures. Ethnic notes are also complemented with the combination of dark wood, fur and leather. Various lighting schemes of this two-level apartment allow highlighting the beauty of the construction lines and shapes. In the circle . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .36 It is really hard to find just one right angle in this 100 sq. m three-room Moscow apartment: the smooth sophisticated lines and plastic organic forms prevail here, softly flowing one into another. Due to that fact the living space has turned out very interesting, difficult and multidimensional. Creation this interior, the author of the project was inspired by wildlife images where there are no straight geometrical lines. There’s no an orthogonal coordinates system in the apartment, so the room space is being constantly changed in different perspectives, and it seems bigger than it actually is. Exquisite idea . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 44 An idea to use the rounded inter-room partitions in that interior is belonged to the apartment owners. In the apartment’s design the laconic modern style prevails. Simple forms of the furniture allowed focusing the attention on colour combinations and highlighting the beauty of textures. The plastic space is based both on smooth wall lines and wide niches; they are partly used as racks. This apartment’s furnishing features a special attention to comfort. Oval as a character . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .52 During this interior’s designing the main problem appeared to be the need for a considerable number of rooms in a lowspace apartment. At the same time the designer would like to personalize every room, to make it looking different from each other. The successful solution was contributed by the «game» with sculpturesque forms, the use of pendant and tension ceilings, floor levels, additional shelves and lightened niches. The small space is constructed around an oval livingroom being the apartment centre. Featured club design. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 60 A complete dismantling of old inter-room partitions together with a change of the main design idea allowed to make a dynamical club design in the apartment, having used a set of distinctive materials for that: tile of the sated shades, dark wood, metal and black glass. The original ideas allowed rejecting some traditional furnishing elements. Living in waterfall sounds . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .68 The round living room became the centre of the apartment’s lay-out, and all the lines in that interior are anyhow connected with its walls’ shapes. This design solution does not look excessively simple: the use of natural materials and classical ideas softens its «sharpness». A home waterfall influences also very calming. The light color scale of the furnishing materials is added by the intensive orange colour, and smooth glossy surfaces neighbour to the rough ones. The approach to that apartment’s design is absolutely modern, though initially the authors tried not to follow any certain style. Meditative ethnics . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .74 Actress Oksana Stashenko, starring in such popular TV-series as «Mukhtar returns», «Place in the sun», «Love’s not what it seems», and others, is a sociable and very «sunny» person. That’s why her apartment is a real present oasis of harmony where Indian motives reign, with their rich colours, quiet mantra sounds and relaxing aromas. Dreams in fusion style. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .82 Mark Tishman is a graduate of both the Moscow State University’s Faculty of foreign languages and the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS)’s Faculty of the musical theatre, a 7th season of «Star academy»’s participant, a singer, an actor, a TV presenter, says that he’s fond of travelling and he doesn’t aim to get a house of his own in the nearest future. Antiquarian horoscope. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .98 The world of antique furniture today consists of the timeless and beautiful styles such as Roman, Gothic, Renaissance, unknown to many before. Sometimes you may not even get at once, what you would admire. Vladimir Tchikin, the expert of the antiquarian gallery «Heritage of centuries» considers that from the psychological point of view furniture styles are similar to horoscopes: either it yours or it’s absolutely not. Flower of the winds . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 110 In this apartment every room was formed basing on its functional intents, the owners’ wishes and the designer’s mood. For the owner’s main hobby — home plants’ cultivation — the special two-level podium with an additional lighting is constructed, it was successfully mounted in one of the room’s corners. Logical design . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 112 A designer meets the merging of two apartments often enough. In the given object the wall separating the apartments was not bearing, and that fact allowed getting rid of the blocking lay-out, making a spacious kitchen-and-dining room, placing the corridors in the right place. Reserved glamour . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 114 The basic space consists of a hall with a niche painted with lines, a living-room featuring the wall as its central element, with a black-and-white ornament in the silvered frame, and a kitchen separated from a lunch zone by a bar rack. With a total area of 89 sq. m and the ceilings of 2.6 m high, the space needed to be visually increased. So that’s the way a number of smooth surfaces on ceilings and walls came, and one of them is added with a stunning waterfall.
